Can I use any type of credit / debit card when I renew my insurance policy through liberty “Renew Online” portal?

As long as you are a Visa / MasterCard holder, you may use the Liberty “Renew Online” portal to make payments.

What are the credit / debit card participating banks?

Most of the major local and foreign banks provide Visa / MasterCard services.

What are the operating hours for credit / debit card?

Credit / debit card service is available 24-hours daily, 7 days a week. The credit / debit card service to customers however, is subject to the customer's card banking service availability.

What happens if I have insufficient funds in my credit / debit card?

Your transaction will be rejected.

Is there a limit to the number of transactions or amount I can make in a day?

The credit / debit card limit is subject to your available limit / balance in your credit / debit card account.

I have made a payment using credit / debit card, how can I know that my payment is successful?

Once the payment has been made, you will receive a notification on details of payment via your given email account. You may also refer to Liberty website’s “Renew Online” for “Current Status”.

Who do I call to enquire about my transaction status?

Kindly call the bank you made the payment from to enquire about the credit card payment status. For debit card transaction you may check your internet banking portal.

Will my account be debited immediately upon successful credit / debit card transaction?

Yes, your debit card account will be debited immediately and your savings/ current account will reflect the change accordingly. For credit cards, your available credit limit will be reduced accordingly.

Are there any charges for using credit / debit card and if so, what is the amount?

There is no charge whether you choose to use your credit or debit card.

How would I know that I am paying Liberty General Insurance Berhad?

Your credit / debit card is prompted via the Liberty General Insurance Berhad website’s “Renew Online” portal, and not your credit / debit card bank’s website for payment. As long as you are paying via the Liberty General Insurance Berhad website, the payment is to LGIB.

Will I get my e-policy immediately if I make payments through online portal?

Yes. You will get your e-policy immediately via email once the payment is successfully remitted to the LIB account.

Do I have to register before making payments with FPX?

No registration is required. As long as you are an Internet Banking user of any FPX-participating bank, you may use FPX to make payments.

What are the FPX participating banks?

Most major local and foreign banks are involved in providing FPX service. You may refer to the list of FPX participating banks from the following link http://www.paynet.my/fpx/banks-tpa.html

What are the operating hours for FPX?

FPX service is available 24-hours daily, 7 days a week. The FPX service to the customers however, is subject to the customer's Internet Banking service availability.

What happens if I have insufficient funds in my account?

For retail/personal banking account, the minimum limit per transaction is RM1.00 and maximum amount is limited up to RM30,000* per transaction. For company/corporate banking, the minimum limit per transaction is RM2.00 and maximum amount is limited up to RM1,000,000* per transaction. *The above limit is subject to your internet banking withdrawal limit with your bank, whichever is lower.

I have made a payment using FPX, how can I know that my payment is successful?
